All of the components are designed as a system by IntenCity to assure a long reliable life. Our LED outdoor lighting systems are an engineered thermal electronic system with many elements beyond the core high brightness LED. To assure long life and reliability, IntenCity fixtures include provisions for heat transfer, efficient electronics, effective optics and protection from the weather, in addition to the graceful aesthetics of the assembly.

Unlike traditional HPS bulbs and fixtures, LEDs do not radiate heat; they are cool to the touch. High Power, multiple element LEDs do generate heat that must be conducted away from the core light emission element to assure a long service life. In the IntenCity LED lighting fixtures, we engineer a heat conducting assembly and heat sink components to remove this unwanted heat. This enables us to meet the fundamental requirement of controlling this heat, to assure the long life of the core light elements. The net effect is lower is that lower temperatures result in longer lives life for the LEDs. Cooling these critical elements by 10oC or more can lead to 1000's of hours of additional life. Our LED outdoor fixtures have nearly 10 inches of heat sinks for every watt in our fixtures.
To assure proper operation, IntenCity designs the power supply and electronics to provide a well controlled DC drive current for the LEDs. Our outdoor LED lighting fixtures use lower current drivers to get the best balance of lifetime and light output.
The IntenCity LED optical components are designed to withstand years of exposure to intense heat variation and weather elements, while at the same time minimizing degradation from these environmental factors. IntenCity lighting products are gasket sealed and well protected from the weather. The LED is designed to ensure ensuring that dirt and water do not infiltrate into the unit. Unlike traditional HPS fixtures, our LED lights do not breath in dirt and moisture, thus eliminating the need to clean inside the unit over its life.
IntenCity outdoor LED lighting systems are designed from the start to be easily installed in the field. The system is built to go inside a standard mounting pipe to form a secure connection, and it is tightened with a single expander knob. This connection keeps the fixture clean and dry, and prevents rodent intrusions. The fasteners are corrosion resistant, and the structural elements are anodized or E-coated. IntenCity engineers and build LED lighting fixtures for many years of service duty, fast installation, and long service life, while delivering large savings over traditional outdoor lighting fixtures.
